There is time to introduce you a nice project I've built for an artist from India. His name is Sajjid Manuel and I must confess that his music in indeed lovely!
The project basically was to build a Web site that the artist could use to sell his songs online individually or as part of an album.
What made this project really interesting where the graphics which I found really attractive and the fact that almost each and every page had a different layout, common remaining just the header and footer.
I've had a lot of measurements to do, DIVs, CSS coding etc.
What made the project even more interesting was the fact that some pages should be in a sequence and so the 2nd or 3rd pages cannot be reached unless users are coming from 1st page to 2nd and then to 3rd.
Even if the user will guess the URL of the 2nd or 3rd pages, he/she will be taken to the 1st page and be forced to follow the sequence.
This was done mainly to avoid link sharing and stuff...
Other interesting parts where the shopping cart integration and the product deliveries.
We've integrated the site with a shopping cart software called CubeCart and furthermore integrated CubeCart with PayPal. Once an order is made and paid for, the customer could instantly download the ordered products.
Worth to be mentioned is that both the free song file, as well as the on sale products deliveries are protected against file sharing and fraud by storing them in a folder outside the root and smartly delivering them to the end user.
